Association for Public Transportation, Inc.

Project Description:

The Association for Public Transportation, Inc. is a non-profit advocacy group based in Boston, MA which works to improve mass transit and high speed rail within the Northeast US and throughout the country. The Association needed a new website which would help bring their image and message into the 21st Century.

I created a light design with a slight 3D affect to let the content float above the page. I used strong fonts to express the serious and professional nature of their work and emphasize their major initiatives. I used a blogging platform to separate the static content from the news which was more dynamic. Most of the graphics on the site were created by me as well including images from around the transit system of Boston. As a separate piece I created a map showing what a new commuter rail tunnel through downtown Boston would look like for their annual meetings.
