You could argue that the purpose of good graphic design is to take large, complex ideas and information and make it easy to visualize and understand. This being the case I think we’ve found one of the best info-graphics, and more importantly an info-graphic we all need, of Obama’s $825 billion stimulus plan. It’s horizontal so you link to it here.

Hulu is a particularly good example of this even if they have somewhat limited content (although the do have the only 4 television shows I watch up there so I’m not complaining.) Hulu also has a really great interface. It might even be the new standard judging by MTV’s new internet service, MTVMusic.com, which allows you to watch oll their old music videos in one place. It looks very similar to Hulu and has more videos than I could want, but unfortunately it doesn’t seem to offer them in high-def. Maybe that will come later. Regardless, this will now provide an even easier way to find those old videos we remember as kids, then to realize just how bad they really were.

But Pepsi just came out with some new designs (at least I think they did, all my info is coming from blogs). The minimalist in me is flipping out right now.

Will this rebranding (including a new logo which changes based on the type of soda) really boost sales? Who knows. But even though I still might not drink it I know that if I see one of these bottles on the shelf I might just have to buy it to just hold and admire.

ALSO, I both love and cringe at the “MNT DEW” meme. I feel like someone needs to LOLcat that up….. ok I’ll do it. There:
